What changes, and what doesn't
Two shifts and one hard rule.
Single application portal
Instead of juggling separate rulebooks across three distinct grants, all support routes through EDGE across seven confirmed areas: Automation & Digitalisation, Business Strategy, Financial Management, Innovation, Internationalisation, Standards, and Sustainability. An eighth area remains unannounced.
Vendor flexibility remains hybrid
Turnkey packaged tools will continue to lean on pre-approved vendor lists. For complex, bespoke, or unlisted scopes, companies retain the option to engage their vendor of choice.
The cardinal rule
Do not sign or pay before you apply.
Under the current rules, executing a contract, accepting a formal quotation, or paying a vendor deposit before your application is formally logged disqualifies the project. EDGE has not published its own version of this rule, so treat it as the safe assumption either way.
The decision
Apply now, or wait for EDGE?
Option A
Apply before 29 September if
Your project scope is finalised, vendor quotes are locked, and you want certainty under fully documented, battle-tested guidelines.
Option B
Wait for 30 September if
Your project is still in early development, or you stand to benefit from the simplified portal and the top-tier 70% SME co-funding rate across eligible scopes.
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers.
What is the EDGE Grant?
A single Enterprise Singapore funding framework that replaces the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) and Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) from 30 September 2026. It covers seven confirmed business areas, from Automation & Digitalisation through to Sustainability, under one application route.
What replaces PSG in Singapore?
The EDGE Grant. PSG stops accepting new applications on 29 September 2026, and support for productivity and digital solutions moves under EDGE from 30 September 2026.
When does the EDGE Grant open?
30 September 2026. EDG, PSG and MRA accept their final submissions the day before, on 29 September 2026.
Who is eligible for the EDGE Grant?
An ACRA-registered business with at least 30% local shareholding, held by Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents. Further conditions may apply depending on the activity you apply for.
How much can I claim under the EDGE Grant?
Up to S$100,000 per company per year, refreshing each 1 April. Support reaches up to 70% of eligible costs for SMEs and up to 50% for non-SMEs, varying by activity, with a S$30,000 sub-cap for point solutions, enterprise systems and selected automation.
Can EDGE fund custom software development?
Very likely, under Automation & Digitalisation. Enterprise Singapore names integrated enterprise systems within that scope. The itemised list of supportable costs has not been published yet, so final approval of eligible line items depends on your application.
Will submitted EDG/PSG applications be cancelled?
No. Any application submitted by 29 September 2026 will be evaluated under the rules active on the submission date.
How do we satisfy vendor requirements for custom builds?
Where no pre-approved vendor list exists for your specific activity, you may select an independent development partner. You must provide a formal project scope, cost breakdown, and quotation.
