Custom and bespoke software for real operations
Custom software for the parts of your business that off-the-shelf tools don't fit.
Ayra Labs builds custom and bespoke software for Singapore SMEs, including internal tools, operational systems, workflow automation and practical AI integrations.

The problem
You don't need to know what software you need.
You might only know that something feels harder than it should. That's enough to start. We learn how the work happens today, find where the friction really is, and work out the simplest sensible way to improve it.

Manual process- The same information is typed into more than one place.
- Work moves between people by message, and things get missed.
- Your software almost fits, but the missing part matters.
- Important steps happen in spreadsheets, notebooks or chat groups.
- Month end means hours of checking figures by hand.
- One person knows how everything actually works.
- AI sounds useful, but nobody knows where it would help.
- You want something focused, not a large transformation programme.

Our approach
The answer isn't always custom software.
We look at the problem first, then choose the right approach. Sometimes that's an existing product. Sometimes it's an integration, automation, AI or custom software.
We choose the approach from the problem. Not the other way around.
Your business problem
Smallest change
Change the process.
When a missing step or unclear responsibility is the real problem.
Use what you already have.
Tools you already pay for often have features nobody has set up.
Connect your systems.
When each tool works, but information is typed twice between them.
Automate the repetitive steps.
Work that follows the same rules every time shouldn't need a person.
Add AI where it's reliable.
Reading messy messages or documents, with a person reviewing the result.
Build custom software.
When the gap is central to how you operate and nothing on the market fits.
Largest change
What we build
Software shaped around how your business actually works.
From focused internal tools and connected workflows to full operational systems, we design and build software that fits your processes, your people and your goals.
Internal tools
Approvals, calculators, admin workflows and reporting tools for specific jobs.
Operational systems
Jobs, customers, pricing, billing, inventory and the business rules between them.
AI assisted tools
Document processing, classification, extraction and AI assisted workflows.
Case study
Four hundred container movements every month.
A real operation. A real problem. A system that works.
Hoàng Khang coordinates more than 400 container movements every month in Hải Phòng. The operation depended on one spreadsheet with twelve monthly tabs, messages, manual calculations and the owner's memory. We built AyraOps, an operations system for the phone, designed around the way the business actually works.

We considered AI. We didn't use it.
A seemingly obvious AI feature turned out to have a more reliable deterministic solution. We measured the real workflow first and shipped the approach the evidence supported.
Our products
We build products too.
Building and operating our own products changes how we approach client software. We care about how a product feels after launch, how reliably it works and whether it remains maintainable as the business changes.
Pricing
What does custom software cost?
Every system is different, but you should have a sense of scale before we talk.
A focused internal application may be small. A business critical operational platform with integrations and complex rules may be substantially larger.
We normally start with the smallest useful version. You do not need to commit to a large transformation programme upfront.
Discovery
Understand the workflow, data and tools you already use.
Written recommendation and a fixed quote for the build.
S$1,500
Credited against the build
Focused internal tool
One workflow, small team, clearly bounded problem.
Approvals, calculators, admin workflows, reporting tools or a single process.
From S$8,000
Usually two to four weeks
Operational system
Several workflows, business rules, integrations, multiple roles.
Jobs, customers, pricing, billing, inventory, reporting and integrations with your existing systems.
S$20,000 to S$60,000
Usually six to twelve weeks
Larger platform
Business critical system, multiple integrations, complex operations.
Complex workflows, high user volumes, advanced rules, data migration and specific requirements.
Scoped individually
Care plan
Hosting, monitoring and small changes after launch.
Fixes included for 30 days after launch. No lock in.
From S$250 a month

Questions
Questions businesses ask before starting.
Starting out
Do we need to know exactly what we want built?
No. Most clients start with a problem, not a specification. Show us how the work happens today and where it becomes slow, manual or unreliable. The first conversation is free, and we will tell you in writing whether software is the right answer.
Does every project become custom software?
No. Sometimes the right answer is a process change, better use of software you already pay for, a connection between two systems, or a small automation. We recommend custom software only when the gap matters and nothing existing fits.
Can you build something small?
Yes. A focused tool that removes one painful manual step is often the best place to start.
Can you work with the systems we already use?
Usually, yes. We connect to existing software through official integrations and exports where they exist, and we recommend keeping tools that already work well.
What types of businesses are a good fit?
Small and medium businesses where daily work runs through messages, spreadsheets and people's memory, and where the owner wants a focused fix rather than a large programme. We have built software for logistics and education.
Cost and time
How much does custom software cost?
Discovery is a fixed S$1,500, credited against the build if you go ahead. Focused internal tools start from S$8,000. Operational systems typically cost S$20,000 to S$60,000. Larger platforms are scoped individually. You receive a fixed quote before any build starts.
How long does it take?
Focused internal tools usually take two to four weeks. Operational systems take six to twelve weeks, with a first working version in use within the first three weeks.
Can we use a government grant?
Ayra Labs is not an approved vendor for packaged solutions. Custom software projects may qualify for Enterprise Singapore support under the EDGE Grant, which replaces the Enterprise Development Grant, the Productivity Solutions Grant and the Market Readiness Assistance grant on 30 September 2026. Eligibility is decided by Enterprise Singapore. We can provide the scope and quotation documents your application needs.
Ownership and support
Who owns the software and the data?
Software built for you is yours. The code, designs and documentation transfer to you on final payment. When your system is built on an existing Ayra product, you receive a licence for your own deployment at a lower cost. In both cases your data belongs to you and can be exported at any time.
How does support work after launch?
Fixes are included for 30 days after launch. After that, an optional care plan from S$250 a month covers hosting, monitoring and small changes. Larger changes are quoted separately. There is no lock in, and you can move your software and data to another developer at any time.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes. We are happy to sign an NDA before discovery. Personal data is handled in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.
About Ayra Labs
Who will we work with?
Janet Le, founder of Ayra Labs, former tech lead who helped build consumer apps at UOB. Janet scopes, designs, builds and supports every project herself. We take on a small number of projects at a time.
Do you build with AI?
Yes, in two ways. We use AI tools to build faster, with careful review before anything ships. Inside your product, we add AI only where testing on your real data shows it is reliable. In the AyraOps project, a simple checksum proved more reliable than an AI model, so we shipped the checksum.
What technology do you use?
Web applications that work on phones and computers, built with widely supported tools so any competent developer can maintain them. We integrate through official channels such as the WhatsApp Business API and PayNow QR, and build native desktop apps when the work needs one.
Where is Ayra Labs based?
Singapore. We work with businesses in Singapore and internationally, in English and Vietnamese.
